Shamar Joseph, new star of West indies expressed her feelings after historical victory in Australia

After 27 years, West Indies secured their maiden Test triumph in Australia.
The Australian batting line-up was overwhelmed by the fast bowler’s seven-wicket haul in the 2nd innings at the Gabba. This was no small feat.
His congratulatory tone was exceptional as stated by Australian captain Pat Cummins.
From a security guard to the current face of West Indies cricket.

It was a red letter day for West Indies Cricket, a historic moment after 27 years that got legends like Brian Lara and Adam Gilchrist all teary eyed and one man really was responsible for that and brought an entire country together.

A young debutant in Shamar Joseph, a debut series, his talent, his grit and the most humble beginnings has really taken the world by storm.

In his recent interviews he said, that day was a fairytale. That’s all I could see. I still feel like I’m actually dreaming. So, like, I’m still in shock, I’m really happy that we did it as a team. He also stated that beating Australia after 27 years is a big achievement for us. The first time in Australia Coming here and do it for the team and do it for my country, the entire carburetor, the entire world in fact, but there are a lot of emotions running high back there. People are here supporting me.  it’s amazing. I can really explain how happy I am right now. Everyone was in tears. There were so many emotional moments there.

While quoting Brian Lara remarks in his conversation he said Brian Lara came up to me. He was like, oh, Samara, you don’t even know what you did. You don’t even have a clue what you have done for the team. But in other words, he was just telling me, coming out of nowhere and do this for our West Indies team. You are just a superstar. He used a lot of words to me, but he was so happy. The tears of joy from him. He squeezed me. I am so grateful for the respect given by especially from coaches and the entire management team.

Everybody was just happy. It was just happiness in our dressing room. I went over to the Australian’s side and Pat Cummins was so happy, he congratulate me and hugged me. He showed good respect as a captain and had a great conversation with me.
