The global media rights of HBL PSL are being sold by PCB for Rs 1.26 billion.

The global media rights of HBL PSL have been perpetually sold through international rights.

But the PCB fears their departure will not result in a significant gain.
The Management Board was authorized by the government to sell only PSL copyrights and limit daily business activities, making it necessary to do so separately.

The company’s primary objective in the bidding was to acquire broadcasting and live broadcaster rights outside Pakistan by acquiring PCB contracts from six different companies.

The first year saw the two-year rights being sold for $450,000, equivalent to Rs 1.26 Billions, at a cost of $225,000, or roughly Rs 63 crore, According to sources.

There were three bid adjustment opportunities for the first time, but none were able to match the starting price.
The amount has gone up from the previous contract.

HBL PSL’s global media rights have increased by 41% compared to last year, as reported by PCB.
Both the Pakistan team and HBL PSL matches were granted international media rights during their last match.

Only the 9th and 10th editions of the tournament were sold during this particular event.

Note that the event will start on February 17 in Lahore with defending champions Lahore Qalanders.
