After completing its third test flight, the SpaceX spacecraft was destroyed upon landing on Earth.

The cruise ship flew around the globe for first time but lost contact in the final stages of its planned landing.

After almost completing its third test flight, SpaceX’s Starship, which was the largest and most powerful rocket ever constructed, was destroyed upon its return to Earth.

The system, which is 120 meters long and weighs roughly 5,000 tons when fully loaded, launched from SpaceX’s Starbase spaceport in Boca Chica, Texas, on the Gulf of Mexico. SpaceX aims to send astronauts to the Moon and Mars in the future. The spacecraft’s orbit was the first of its kind, but communication was lost in the final stages of the test as it reentered the atmosphere.

Despite being on the brink of entering the Indian Ocean, SpaceX had no intention of saving the ship.
It could have burned out or crumbled on re-entry. “The ship was lost.

Dan Huot, the spokesperson for SpaceX said that water landings were not possible today. We have made some remarkable progress this time around. It’s unexpected.

On his social media platform, X, Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX stated that SpaceX has made significant strides in its development. In two previous attempts, the Super Heavy spacecraft’s 33 thrusters and the cruise ship designed to transport 100 astronauts all exploded. Elevated at 10 meters, they are stackable and dwarf the Saturn V rocket that transported humans to the Moon. A spacecraft took four minutes to launch and eight minutes for the final reach, which was a significant delay.

The third stage took more than 50 minutes to complete.

According to Musk, Starship is the initial step in extending humanity’s space exploration beyond its previous limit. The purpose of his invention of the Starship, previously known as BFR and referred to as a “big rocket”, was to enable humans to evolve into‘multi-planetary species. Musk’s plan is to colonize Mars, which would enable humanity to survive any disaster on Earth, such as a sentient AI takeover or an attack.

Starship is far from being fully operational, as indicated by the test results on Thursday.

Musk stated that the rocket must complete hundreds of unmanned flights before it can transport humans. Earlier, Musk stated that the development of the Starship could result in costs between $2 billion and $10 billion. Each launch is estimated to cost tens of millions of dollars.

Its revenue is generated by operating smaller rockets that launch satellites and transport astronauts to the International Space Station. He revealed a long-term plan to utilize the spacecraft as primarily for commercial purposes, promising trips from London to Tokyo in under an hour.
