100-year-old gold medalist athlete from French

On Thursday, Coste celebrated his 100th birthday by winning the Olympic gold medal in cycling alongside Pierre Adam, Serge Blusson, and Fernand Decanali.

Despite being the oldest Olympic medalist from France, who was awarded his spot on top of the podium at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, this year’s torch for Paris 2024 will make headlines once again.

The fact that Coste, born in 1924 and the final time Paris hosted the Summer Olympics did not require him to use a wheelchair has resulted in him needing to walk around.

In the bedroom of his apartment on the outskirts of Paris, Coste is seen with other items including the medal he received from then-President Vincent Auriol. The gold is set in this particular frame.

According to Coste, “The Olympic medal is the most valuable thing, despite being given by President Auriol,”
He mentioned that they presented us with the medal in a box, without any discomfort or wear on their necks during that period.

During those years when there was no television, our sole objective was to win the gold medal.
According to Coste, the group was a commendable team that represents essentially ONE country that has just come out of German occupation after five years.

“I have knee pain,” he said.

“I will make an effort to do it.

It was a great privilege.

The number of journalists who visited me was very low at the time.
That gift was perfect for my birthday.

I had planned to observe my 100th birthday in a calm manner, but that was not accomplished.
