Instant messaging apps like WhatsApp have gained widespread popularity, with WhatsApp serving as the primary tool for everyday use.
With accounts linked to phone numbers, individuals can use your number and the app allows them to contact you directly, making it easier for bad guys to reach you.

The new feature of WhatsApp that allows you to block messages from unknown contacts on the lock screen was introduced after the platform started using user’s official ID.

Reporting contacts on WhatsApp can be accompanied by secondary reminders.
>This contact protection feature can be found on both the lock screen and notification area. However, users are still able to avoid opening the app and then chatting by blocking unwanted messages.
>The action can be confirmed by clicking on the “Report contact” checkbox and then selecting “Block” in the resulting pop-up window.
As part of a more efficient automated spam prevention system, the sender will be given five messages that are currently stored with WhatsApp.
