Meta’s social media platform is experiencing issues with Facebook and Instagram, leading to thousands of users experiencing a shutdown.

Over the past hour, thousands of users have reported problems with Facebook, Instagram and Threads in the Worldwide.
According to sources, the problem started around 3pm this afternoon.

Instagram and Facebook were reported broken by over 30,000 people in the past hour.
All three sites impacted are under the ownership of Meta, which also runs WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp seems to be functioning normally.

Reports from Twitter (now X) indicate that both platforms are unresponsive.

Facebook and Instagram both show the same message, but users are unable to load posts and can see their session has been disconnected.
The use of Facebook login information to access other websites could result in a larger impact on users.
It was reported by Meta that they are aware of the outage and taking steps to remedy it.

The company’s communications director, Andy Stone, tweeted: “We realize that people are having difficulty accessing our services.
We are currently working on it.

With all the feel-good GIFs on X, you’ll be glad they were back online.
